A mid-20th-century wooden sideboard, likely of British manufacture, exhibiting Art Deco design influences. The piece is constructed with a mahogany frame and features figured walnut veneers to the cupboard doors, arranged in a book-matched grain pattern. The configuration comprises two frieze drawers positioned above a double-door cupboard. The top surface features a low integral backboard, with the lateral edges of the top section chamfered to slope outwards towards the base. The sideboard is supported by a continuous solid plinth base. Hardware includes decorative cast brass swan-neck handles on the drawers and matching brass drop-pull handles on the cupboard doors, which are equipped with individual keyholes. The finish is a high-gloss polish. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the exterior surfaces.
