A 19th-century mahogany bow-front chest of drawers, constructed in the Regency style. The chest features a configuration of two short drawers over three long, graduated drawers, all faced with highly figured flame mahogany veneers arranged to create a symmetrical grain pattern across each tier. The drawer fronts are fitted with turned mahogany knobs, each featuring a central circular bone or mother-of-pearl inlay, and central inset escutcheons. The carcass is topped with a plain-edged mahogany surface following the bow-fronted profile of the piece. The chest is supported on four turned and tapered legs, with a shaped apron positioned between the front feet.
