A vintage English coach horn, also known as a post horn. The instrument features a long, straight tapering body formed from rolled sheet copper with a visible longitudinal soldered seam. It is constructed in two sections joined by a central brass ferrule. The horn is fitted with a cast brass mouthpiece and terminates in a flared copper bell finished with a protective brass rim. The brass component near the mouthpiece is stamped with the mark MADE IN ENGLAND. This item is representative of mid-20th-century British manufacturing for traditional coaching or hunting signals.
