A collection of military-related metalware items comprising silver-plated and pewter pieces with various regimental associations. The group includes a tapering cylindrical prize beaker engraved RECRUITS PRIZE, D CO, 5TH ESSEX REGT, 1909, WON BY PTE PAYNE. A silver-plated tankard features a scroll handle and is engraved with the dragon crest of The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment), inscribed THE BUFFS and SGT. A. J. IVEY; it bears the Mappin Plate maker mark and serial number W16518 to the base. Also included is a matching silver-plated cream jug and open sugar bowl set, both stamped MAPPIN & WEBB LTD with a broad arrow symbol and the date 1960, featuring serial numbers 21C/3248 and 21C/3249 respectively. Completing the collection is a modern pewter tankard with a brushed finish, featuring a central enamel Royal Air Force (RAF) badge. This item is accompanied by its original black presentation box printed with the text FINEST HAND MADE ENGLISH PEWTER.
