An Edwardian style mantel clock featuring a mahogany-veneered wood case with a distinctive lancet or beehive-arched top. The circular silvered dial is set with black Arabic numerals and spade-shaped hands, protected by a hinged brass bezel with convex glass. The clock is fitted with an eight-day mechanical movement, striking on a coiled wire gong, and features two winding holes to the dial. Although no maker’s mark is visible on the dial or the brass movement backplate, the design strongly resembles the work of manufacturers such as Waterbury or Seth Thomas. The case is raised on four small brass bun feet and finished with a moulded base. A detached brass pendulum bob and a winding key are present inside the case.
Dimensions: Approximately 25cm – 35cm in height.
