Buyer's Premium:

An English mechanical mantel clock of Napoleon hat or tambour form, retailed by Bravingtons of London. The case is constructed from stained mahogany featuring fine string inlay detailing the front face, supported by a rectangular base resting on four brass bun feet. The rear features an arched wooden door which opens to reveal the movement and an original illustrated paper label. This label identifies the model as The Renown and states the clock is of English manufacture throughout, providing the retailer addresses at Kings Cross and Ludgate Hill. The 14-day mechanical movement features a decorative diamond-hatched backplate stamped with the Bravingtons name, London location, and the serial number 3132. The circular silvered dial is set with black Roman numeral hour markers and an outer minute track, protected by a hinged brass bezel and convex glass. The clock strikes on an internal gong and is accompanied by its winding key and pendulum bob.
