An English art pottery miniature vase of squat bulbous form with a flared rim, attributed to the Moorcroft factory. The piece is decorated in the Hibiscus pattern, featuring hand-painted tubelined floral blooms in yellow and deep red with green foliage, all set against a deep cobalt blue ground. The underside is impressed with the mark Made in England and includes a hand-painted painter’s mark in green. Other impressed markings are present but are too faint to be clearly identified. The vessel is constructed from earthenware with hand-applied glazes.
