A William Moorcroft pottery miniature vase of squat globular form with a short flared rim. The body is decorated in the ‘Pansy’ pattern, featuring a large hand-painted tubelined flower in shades of purple, pale blue, and yellow, set against a deep cobalt blue ground. The piece is finished with a high-gloss lead glaze. The base bears a hand-painted blue script signature for William Moorcroft, a stamped block mark MADE IN ENGLAND, and a stamped Royal Warrant mark reading POTTER TO H.M. THE QUEEN. This mark refers to the warrant granted by Queen Mary in 1928, dating the piece to between 1928 and the mid-1940s. Additionally, there is an impressed letter T and a small circular impressed mark.
