A William Moorcroft earthenware vase of bulbous form with a tapering neck and slightly flared rim. The vase is decorated in the Pansy pattern with tube-lined floral heads in shades of deep purple, pinkish-red, and blue with green foliage on a cobalt blue ground. The base is impressed with the marks MADE IN, ENGLAND, and MOORCROFT, along with the code V4 and a circular stamp. A hand-painted green WM monogram is visible on the underside.
