A William Moorcroft earthenware vase of baluster form with a flared rim and foot. The piece is decorated in the Tulip pattern, featuring large floral motifs in shades of pink and yellow with green leaves, executed using the tube-lining technique against a deep cobalt blue ground. The base features several markings: a hand-painted signature in green for William Moorcroft, a printed blue MADE IN ENGLAND mark, and a green band containing the printed text POTTER TO H.M. THE QUEEN, indicating the Royal Warrant granted in 1928. An impressed factory mark is also partially visible beneath the glaze.
