A Moorcroft earthenware vase of squat, bulbous form with a short, flared neck. The exterior is decorated in the Anemone pattern, featuring large tube-lined flower heads in tonal shades of pink and deep red with dark blue centres, interspersed with green foliage. The decoration is set against a signature deep cobalt blue ground, which continues into the interior of the rim. The base exhibits a blue printed mark reading MOORCROFT (partially obscured) and a blue printed stamp in two lines: MADE IN over ENGLAND. A handwritten dealer’s label is also affixed to the base.
