A small bulbous earthenware art pottery vase by Moorcroft Pottery, decorated in the Orchid pattern. The piece features tube-lined floral motifs in shades of red, pink, yellow, and blue, set against a deep cobalt blue ground. The base is marked with a hand-painted script signature in blue for W Moorcroft, a blue stamped mark reading POTTER TO H.M. THE QUEEN, and an impressed mark reading MADE IN ENGLAND. It also bears a small impressed letter S and additional hand-painted initials. The royal warrant mark indicates a production date between 1928 and 1949.
