A collection of original softcover quarterly parts of the antiquarian journal Fenland Notes & Queries, published between 1892 and 1896. This series, sub-titled A Quarterly Antiquarian Journal for the Fenland Counties, was published in Peterborough by Geo. C. Caster and in London by Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, Kent, and Co., Ltd., and Elliot Stock. The visible issues range from Part 12 (January 1892) to Part 30 (July 1896), including the commencement of a new volume in Part 24 (January 1895). The journals were edited by W. H. Bernard Saunders and the Rev. W. D. Sweeting, M.A. Each part is bound in its original printed paper wrappers, decorated with Victorian typography and four engraved vignettes of Lincoln Cathedral, Ely Cathedral, Peterborough Cathedral, and Crowland Abbey. The journals contain historical and genealogical articles, with visible titles including Wills of Christopher and Alice Swincoe, history of the Thorowgood family, the Great Fire at St. Ives in 1689, and Roman roads in the Fenland.
