A pair of weathered garden bench pedestals or supports, cast in reconstituted stone. Each pedestal is designed in a modernist geometric style, featuring a flared and stepped base rising to a central section with a large oval-shaped aperture. The pedestals are topped with flat rectangular platforms. Each top surface contains two circular mounting holes intended for the secure attachment of a stone or timber bench seat. One pedestal retains a small protrusion of dark material at the centre of the top surface, likely a remnant of a fixing pin. The items are of heavy construction, typical of mid-to-late 20th-century British garden ornaments. There are no visible maker’s marks or inscriptions.
