This lot comprises an assortment of vintage British cigarette card albums, loose trade cards, and local ephemera, primarily dating from the 1930s. The majority of the albums were issued by John Player and Sons, a branch of the Imperial Tobacco Company. Notable titles include Military Uniforms of the British Empire Overseas, The Coronation of H.M. King George VI and H.M. Queen Elizabeth 1937, multiple copies of The Kings and Queens of England 1066-1935, and three copies of An Album of Sea Fishes. Other Player and Sons titles present are An Album of Motor Cars, An Album of Aeroplanes (Civil), An Album of Film Stars Second Series, An Album of Cricketers 1938, and two copies of An Album of Animals of the Countryside. Further albums include a Brooke Bond Album for Freshwater Fish, a J. Lyons and Co. Wings of Speed album, and a W.D. and H.O. Wills Safety First album. The lot also features two bags containing loose cigarette and trade cards with visible subjects including Rochdale Football Club, botanical studies, and military portraits. Accompanying the cards is a Cigarette Card Catalogue published by I. Goodstein Ltd. of 16 Charing Cross Road, London, and a copy of The Wiltshire Gazette A.B.C. Bus Time Table for the Marlborough Edition, dated June 1931. A single circular embroidered cloth patch featuring a stylised figure is also included.
