A set of four dining side chairs constructed in the Queen Anne style. The mahogany frames feature shaped crest rails with central carved shell motifs positioned above pierced vase-shaped back splats decorated with foliate scrollwork. The padded seats are upholstered in a gold-toned velvet fabric. The chairs are supported by cabriole front legs terminating in pad feet and square-sectioned, slightly splayed rear legs. The design is notably without stretchers.
