A bank of twelve softwood drawers of varying sizes, arranged in four rows. The piece is of utilitarian design, possibly intended for a pharmacy or workshop setting. The drawer fronts are flush with the frame and the construction utilises simple nailed joinery. The chest is finished in a heavily distressed style with multiple layers of peeling sage green and off-white paint over a dark-stained wood surface. The hardware is an eclectic collection of mismatched vintage metal drawer pulls, featuring ornate drop handles, ring pulls, and fixed decorative handles in brass and base metals. The second drawer down on the far-left side is stencilled with the word CAPSULES in black lettering. Other faint, illegible markings are present on different drawer fronts. The sides and top of the carcase show age-related wear, surface cracking, and wood grain separation.
