A copper-plate engraved map of Cambridgeshire, titled Cambridgeshire described with the deuision of the hundreds, the Townes situation, with the Armes of the Colleges of that famous Vniuersiti. This work is based on the cartography of John Speed (1552–1629) and is dated 1610 within the plate. The map features a highly decorative layout, including a large architectural title cartouche and a secondary text block detailing the arms of the Princes and noblemen of the Earldom of Cambridge. The side and bottom borders are densely populated with heraldic shields and founding dates for Cambridge University colleges, including St Johns College (1508), Trinitie Colledge (1546), and Corpus Christi Colledge (1344). Figures in contemporary academic and clerical robes are illustrated in the bottom corners, and the northern region of the county is identified as The Isle of Ely. The piece is mounted and housed in a wooden frame with a gilt inner slip under glass.
