A varied collection of military and organisational belt buckles, clasps, and a rank insignia from several nations and periods. The lot includes a square brass buckle stamped with the Polish Eagle featuring a Virtuti Militari cross upon its breast; a Soviet Russian rectangular white metal buckle embossed with a hammer and sickle within a five-pointed star; and a chrome-plated two-part interlocking clasp for Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps (QARANC) featuring a Queen’s Crown. Further items comprise a circular brass Boys’ Brigade buckle with an anchor and “STEDFAST” motto attached to a leather strap fragment; a British General Service or Warrant Officer’s two-part brass clasp featuring lions atop King’s Crowns; and a large rectangular chrome-plated buckle bearing the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman with crossed khanjars. Additionally, the collection features a rectangular nickel-plated buckle with an applied flaming grenade device; two white metal buckles embossed with a panoply of arms including cannons and a helmet; and a small silver-coloured metal King’s Crown rank badge.
