Buyer's Premium:

A late 19th-century German Vienna-style regulator wall clock. The architectural case is constructed from walnut and walnut veneers. The pediment is surmounted by a carved figure of a rearing horse, positioned above a moulded cornice. The trunk features a long glazed door flanked by turned and fluted half-columns, while the base is finished with turned finials and a central shaped drop. The brass dial displays a decorative embossed floral centre and a cream-coloured chapter ring with black Roman numerals and a minute track. It is fitted with two winding apertures and blued steel spade-style hands. The clock contains an eight-day, two-train mechanical movement striking on a gong, featuring a visible gridiron-style pendulum with a large circular brass-faced bob. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the dial or movement.
