A set of eight Japanese porcelain cabinet plates from the Flowers and Birds of the Twelve Months (Kacho Junikagetsu no Uchi) series, featuring original artwork by Naoko Nobata for Franklin Porcelain. Each circular plate is decorated with a detailed nature scene in the traditional Kacho-ga style, depicting flora and fauna associated with specific months. Scenes include cranes and pine trees, mandarin ducks with irises, songbirds among cherry blossoms, chrysanthemums, autumnal maple leaves, and winter narcissi. The plates are finished with a narrow gilt rim. The reverse of each plate bears a blue backstamp including a circular fp logo, the series title in Japanese, the specific month name, the artist’s name Naoko Nobata, copyright 1982 Franklin Porcelain, and Made in Japan.
