A collection of Coalport fine bone china collector plates, primarily from the Reach for the Sky series, featuring aviation artwork by Michael Turner. The plates are manufactured from fine bone china and decorated with polychrome transfer-printed illustrations depicting various Royal Air Force aircraft from the Second World War era. Featured aircraft include the Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane, Avro Lancaster, de Havilland Mosquito, Bristol Beaufighter, and Short Sunderland. Several plates are finished with a gilt rim. Original storage boxes are present and carry the Coalport printed mark alongside Fine Bone China, Made in England, and Est. 1750. Specific labels on the boxes identify series titles and aircraft types. One commemorative plate is included for the 60th Anniversary 1936-1996 of the Supermarine Spitfire. The lot comprises multiple loose plates and several original cardboard storage boxes, some retaining their polystyrene protective inserts.
