A small Moorcroft earthenware vase of bulbous baluster form with a flared foot and short neck. The piece is decorated in the tubelined Anemone pattern, featuring a large, stylised flower head in shades of pink, white, and deep purple. The background consists of a graduating glaze transition from olive green at the top to a deep cobalt blue at the base. The interior of the neck is finished in a matching deep blue glaze. The base of the vase retains a partially torn cream-coloured paper label with a royal coat of arms and the text By Appointment Potter H.M. The Queen, corresponding to the Potter to the late Queen Mary label. A hand-painted signature in blue script, attributed to Walter Moorcroft, is visible beneath the label. An impressed numeral 3 is also located on the base.
