A Moorcroft earthenware vase of ovoid form, tapering towards the neck and base. The exterior is decorated in the Anemone pattern, featuring tube-lined and hand-painted large red and maroon anemone flowers with blue centres, accompanied by smaller blue blossoms and green foliage. This decoration is set against a pale yellow-green ground, with the interior of the rim finished in a darker green glaze. The base bears impressed marks for MOORCROFT and MADE IN ENGLAND, along with a blue hand-painted script signature for Walter Moorcroft. Additionally, there is a circular paper label stating BY APPOINTMENT POTTER TO THE LATE QUEEN MARY.
