A pair of decorative metal floor lamps, or torchères, designed in the French mid-20th-century style. Each lamp features a slender tripod frame composed of three vertical metal struts held together by a central ring and an upper support ring. The top of the frame is embellished with scrolled metal supports which hold the shades, while the circular weighted bases are finished with matching scroll accents. The frames are finished with a cream-coloured paint that has been heavily distressed to create a patinated appearance. Each lamp is topped with a circular, shallow bowl-style uplighter shade made of frosted glass. The lamps are fitted with electrical cables and UK 3-pin plugs, and one lamp includes an inline foot switch.
