A floor lamp, or standard lamp, designed in the Rococo revival style. The piece features a highly decorative column and base made from carved wood or composite material, finished in an off-white paint with intentional distressing to highlight the intricate carvings. The central column is composed of several sections, including baluster forms and deeply carved foliate elements. It is supported by a tripod base consisting of three scrolled feet embellished with acanthus leaf motifs. The lamp is topped with a large, cream-coloured fabric bell-shaped shade, which is finished with a decorative tassel-fringe border around the lower edge. The unit is fitted with a modern white electrical cable and a standard UK three-pin plug. There are no visible maker’s marks, labels, or signatures on the item.
