A contemporary chest of drawers manufactured as a reproduction in the Georgian style. The unit features a two over three configuration, consisting of two short drawers above three full-width long drawers. The design includes a rectangular overhanging top with a moulded edge and drawer fronts finished with cock-beaded moulding. The chest stands on a solid, continuous plinth base. The primary material is a hardwood with a uniform honey-toned finish, while the secondary timber used for the drawer interiors is a lighter-coloured wood. The drawers are constructed with machine-cut dovetail joints and are fitted with circular drop-ring pull handles in an antiqued dark metal finish. The short drawers feature a single central handle, while the long drawers are fitted with a pair. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
