A trio of framed prints headlined by a signed etching after Walter Dendy Sadler (British, 1854-1923), etched by Wallace Hester. The intaglio work depicts a characteristic Victorian genre scene of two gentlemen in top hats and frock coats seated at a garden table outside a timbered cottage. The print is signed in pencil in the lower margin as W. Dendy Sadler on the left and Wallace Hester on the right. Below the plate mark, the publication line states London Published 1920 by L.H. Lefevre and Son… the Proprietors of the Copyright. Printed by F.G. Hardcastle. The etching shows a clear impression with visible plate marks. Also included is a large-format photogravure after Lawrence Alma-Tadema, depicting women in classical dress on a marble terrace overlooking a seascape, presented in an ornate foliate gilt frame. The third item is a monochrome print titled After Many Years after a painting by Joseph Clark, depicting a sailor returning to a domestic interior scene, bearing a plate signature and date of 1908. All items are glazed and housed in period-appropriate frames.
