A pair of antique English style long-handled bed warming pans, likely dating from the 19th or early 20th century. Each item consists of a circular copper pan and hinged lid, mounted to a long, turned wooden handle. One warming pan features a polished copper finish with a decorative brass trefoil hinge secured by three rivets, fitted to a light-toned wooden handle. The second warming pan displays a darker aged patina on the copper body with a simpler hinge design and is fitted to a dark-stained wooden handle. The copper components appear to be formed through spinning or hammering techniques, while the wooden handles have been shaped on a lathe with decorative collars and finials. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the metalwork or wooden components.
