The lot features a Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve badge in silver-coloured bullion wire on black felt, displaying a King’s Crown and eagle flanked by VR. Headgear includes an early 20th-century brown leather flight helmet with sheepskin lining and integrated leather communication tubes, alongside a dark brown synthetic helmet liner and an olive green cotton utility cap. Also present is a pair of modern chrome-framed goggles with black padding and a blue bridge. Mess items consist of a two-piece aluminium kidney-shaped US Army mess tin, with the handle stamped US WM CO. 1943. British cutlery includes a stainless steel fork marked R.S.A.F. ENFIELD 1940 with a broad arrow, and a silver-plated spoon marked C 1938 with a broad arrow. A folding stainless steel cutlery set is housed in a brown imitation leather pouch.
