This collection contains a variety of British military and naval artefacts from the First and Second World War periods. The lot includes a rectangular wooden commemorative box, the interior lid of which is inscribed as being crafted from the propeller of a Sopwith machine at Heliopolis in November 1918. Also present is a circular bakelite-cased moving coil range indicator gauge, dated 1945 and calibrated in yards from 0 to 1500. This instrument bears the British military broad arrow mark and the store code 10A/16106, which indicates it was part of Royal Air Force electrical or radio equipment. The group features a souvenir barrel constructed from teak timber salvaged from HMS Iron Duke, Admiral Jellicoe’s flagship during the Battle of Jutland in 1916, featuring an applied brass plaque. An Easco life jacket survivor light is included, comprising a black battery cylinder and a red-lensed lamp with a mounting clip. Completing the lot is a red-painted metal component with a finned conical structure, likely part of a signal or flare device, and an enamel Royal British Legion Associate lapel badge.
