This numismatic interest lot comprises a selection of reference materials and coins. It features a copy of Coin Collecting as a Hobby by Burton Hobson, presented as a revised edition hardcover with pictorial laminate boards. Included is issue number seven of the Coins Medals and Currency Digest and Monthly Catalogue, dated March 1970. The lot also contains a 2009 Royal Mint Christmas Silver Sixpence presentation folder which houses a 1942 silver sixpence bearing the crowned G R I monogram of King George VI and the inscription FID DEF IND IMP. There is a large white metal commemorative medallion for the Wesleyan Methodist Twentieth Century Fund, featuring a portrait of an eighteenth-century cleric on the obverse and a cross on the reverse with text including The Best Of All Is God Is With Us. This medallion is accompanied by a handwritten note dating it to 1898-1908. Additionally, the lot includes a 1940 British bronze farthing.
