A collection comprising three antique sterling silver folding fruit knives, an Edwardian vesta case, and a presentation box. The first knife features a single sterling silver blade with hallmarks for Sheffield, 1908, and the maker mark SV for Samuel Valle. The handle is constructed of mother-of-pearl scales with a vacant silver shield-shaped cartouche. The second knife is of miniature proportions with a sterling silver blade hallmarked for Sheffield, 1905, and the maker mark JYC for John Yeomans Cowlishaw. The mother-of-pearl scales are accented by linear engine-turned silver bolsters. The third knife has a sterling silver blade with hallmarks for Sheffield and the maker mark HW Ld for Harrison Brothers and Howson Ltd; the date letter is worn and illegible. The handle consists of plain mother-of-pearl scales. The vesta case is marked HJC and stamped THE SAFTEE PILLA. It is constructed of metal with a central viewing window to the body. The group is accompanied by a red leatherette hinged presentation case with a single-fitted interior.
