A late Victorian military conductor’s baton comprising a tapered black wood, fitted with three silver mounts. The central silver band features a presentation inscription, while the two terminal caps are decorated with chased foliate scrollwork. The central band is engraved with the following text: PRESENTED BY THE PUPILS OF KNELLER HALL, R.M.S.M. AS A TOKEN OF RESPECT TO STUDENT MOON, 1901. Hallmarked London 1899.
