A collection of various ceramic and glass items. The group is led by a James Sadler and Sons Art Deco novelty teapot modelled as a streamlined racing car, finished in a cream glaze with silver-toned lustre highlights to the grille, wheels, and trim. The lid is surmounted by a driver’s head finial. The base is molded with the text MADE IN ENGLAND, REGISTERED., and NO. 820236. Included are three advertising ceramic items: a blue and white jug shaped as a letter E for Worthington beer; a rectangular yellow jug with black diagonal stripes for Superkings cigarettes; and a ceramic money box in the form of a delivery van, green and cream in colour, inscribed Marks and Spencer Ltd. CELEBRATING 125 YEARS. The collection is completed by a pair of red glass bud vases with twisted bodies and clear ruffled bases, and a glass Galileo thermometer containing internal suspended spheres.
