This decorative wall plaque features a circular high-relief scene in the Neoclassical style, set within an integral square frame. The central composition depicts a seated female figure playing a flute beneath a tree, flanked by two winged cherubs. The plaque is cast in an ivory-coloured resin or composite material designed to replicate the appearance of Parian ware or carved stone. The square frame is heavily moulded with scrolling foliate and shell-motif corners, finished with a bronzed and gilded patination. The composition is based on a design associated with the English sculptor Edward William Wyon. The reverse is fitted with a simple plywood backing board held in place by staples, featuring a metal triangular picture hanger. No maker’s marks, signatures, or inscriptions are visible on the front or reverse of the piece.
