A collection of three framed offset lithographs depicting humorous scenes of British life. The first print is titled Nine Pints of the Law after Lawson Wood (1878-1957), illustrating nine uniformed police officers resting on a stone wall with mugs of ale. The artist’s name and title are printed in the lower margin. The second print, titled The Brigade ~ Nine Ready and Willing, is signed Jess in the plate to the lower left and features nine firefighters in vintage uniforms and brass helmets. The margin includes a printed copyright for John S. Smith dated 1994. The third print, titled Country Folk – Lot Number 9, is also signed Jess in the plate and portrays a row of rural men at a livestock auction overlooking a pen of pigs. All three prints are plate-signed or bear printed artist names rather than hand signatures. They are presented in matching mahogany-effect wooden frames with gold-coloured inner slips and are glazed. The prints include the text Printed in England in the lower margins.
